first and foremost ditch all the noughts and use basic figures for calculating, 7 million, is 7 times 10 to the power of 6, 7^6, call it 7 and just work in millions, then nobody gets confused, add the noughts right at the end, or just an m, and you'll find calculations of magnitude much simpler as you can concentrate on the important bit, not be confused with a string of duck eggs (noughts)
