Straight to PLC or Marine Reserve then PLC?

I'll be a sophomore in college this fall. I asked a recruiter if it was possible for me to do boot camp next summer and he said yes, as long as I enlist at a certain time. But I was thinking, I want to be an officer, and I was wondering if it was better to just go directly to PLC or enlist in the reserves, do boot camp, and then PLC? Im not sure which one will be better, or if having experience under my belt by going through boot camp will increase my chances of getting in to the program.
