Applying for a small business loan?

I'm in the start-up phase of my business and would like to apply for a loan for equipment and a business vehicle. I don't have the best credit, though, and my total assets amount to about $3,000. What are the odds that I would even be approved for a loan? If I have a good chance, then where can I find a good, solid guideline to follow for the application process?
